The owners of 18th Amendment Sprits Co. needed a fresh logo design that matched the mood and history of their unique space. The bar is located in the old Savings Bank building in downtown Muskegon. They were looking for a vintage typographic logo inspired by the prohibition era (and its inevitable end). Dog Ear put together a brand and website that reflects this history and vision.
Brand Elements
We kept the color scheme close to the old brand colors- a gold accent with a dark blue. The font was the key, and Java Heritage was chosen with some added embellishments. I also created an outline of the bank building used on menus, business cards and bottle designs.
Bottle & Can Design
Creating the bottle designs was a blast as I had complete creative freedom. It's rare that the final design is nailed down on the first try, but I'm happy to say this was the case with these designs.
Website Design
18th Amendment's web design ties in to the venues unique history. Along with building the site, Dog Ear hosts, manages and oversees the site's performance and upgrades for just $300/yr.
