City Slopes Indoor Ski & Ride was built to bring year-round skiing and snowboarding to Grand Rapids. The brand needed to feel energetic and nostalgic. It had to resonate with both adults and kids stepping onto the slope for the thousandth or first time. The result? An awesome 80’s-inspired identity that feels bold, approachable, and rooted in GR.
A Logo with Local Roots
The slope shape draws inspiration from La Grande Vitesse, grounding the brand firmly in Grand Rapids. Paired with a rising sun and clean alpine forms, the mark balances retro energy with modern clarity. The color palette nods to vintage ski culture while remaining versatile enough for a family-friendly facility. It feels fun without being childish, bold without being aggressive—open to all levels, all ages, all seasons.
From Concept to Tradeshow Floor
With a Spring 2026 opening ahead, the brand is already in motion. We developed t-shirt designs, stickers, and supporting marketing materials for their first tradeshow appearance. Seeing the team show up with cohesive apparel and branded collateral reinforced what a strong identity can do—it creates confidence, conversation, and excitement long before the doors officially open.
